Debra is a respected professional dancer with a specialization in ballet. Her dance career began in Felixstowe, where she was inspired by the renowned dancer Versey Anness, who ignited her passion for the art form. At the age of 10, Debra successfully auditioned for The Royal Ballet School, where she honed her skills over eight years and performed with the Royal Ballet. Throughout her career, Debra has worked with esteemed dance companies, including Festival Ballet and the National Ballet of Portugal. In 1992, she established her own dance school, "Ballet Train," to share her enthusiasm for dance. For over three decades, she has been a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance, instructing at prestigious institutions such as the Sylvia Young Theatre School and London Studio Centre. Many of her former students have achieved successful careers, performing on stages around the globe, including the West End. Debra is committed to empowering adults interested in starting or advancing their ballet training. Her classes provide a blend of technical instruction and a nurturing atmosphere, making them suitable for dancers of all levels. Recently, she became a Silver Swans licensee, part of an RAD initiative aimed at seniors.
